Rectangles out of 24 Squares

For this task, I created Rectangles out of 24 squares.

I have done 4 examples and they all come with an equation. For example for Number 3. I have done 2L + 2w, The meaning of 2L is 2 Large, and the Meaning for 2w is 2 Width. This was what I came up with. We all worked as a class to find examples.

Ahipara

                                                                There are two tribes named Te Rarawa- and Te Aupouri that ba-
ck then they were all obsessed with the land of (90 MILE) that -
What things they did just to own this land was strange. but a man
named POROA took a step to even out everyone's favor. and drew
a line between the beach to even out one half of (90 MILE) for Te
Aupouri and the other for Te Rarawa. he spread out the Te aupouri
Tribe and he took step for the southern end. he soon found a wife
and he named a specific mountain after her (WHANGATAUATIA)
Which in this modern day is still named after her. Now since that
has happened Te Aupouri is now a tribe NORTHERN and Te Rarawa
Southern. The Te Rarawa tribe had a food gathering celebration from Sea
Food and named this beach Ahipara named after Ahi- fire and para the fish.

Matariki

WALT: Increase our knowledge by reading a wide range of texts (Article a day - Book of Knowledge)

For this task I had to organise all the information from the passage 'What is Matariki?' I had to give one main idea and four supporting ideas.

I think I did well describing what Matariki is.  My next step would be to finish more tasks from my Matariki slide deck.

Caricature art work

WALT: Create a Caricature

Our task was to make something about yourself stand out e.g drawing larger cheeks.  We had to draw our face onto plain draft paper in pencil.  Then we drew our Caricature onto cartridge paper.  We had to outline our face over the pencil in vivid then we dyed the background in green and we had to dye our face and hair.  

I think I did a good job with dyeing my Caricature because of the way the colours make my Caricature stand out.  I could improve on outlining my Caricature with vivid and making the lines smoother.

                 Footprint?

A smart Footprint is A Digital footprint it is a trail of data you create while using the Internet. It includes the websites you visit, emails you send, and information you submit to online services. A passive Digital footprint is a data trail you unintentionally leave online. Closing your tab without logging out is a digital footprint.

A passive digital footprint is data collected without the owner knowing (also known as data exhaust), whereas active Digital footprints are Created when personal data is released deliberately by a user for the purpose of sharing information about oneself by means of websites or social media. 

                                                                                                               Think before sharing Use the right settings Get involved Stay on top of things Delete old accounts Stay careful with posting private things while on the internet. The internet is very dangerous so be careful while using the internet and remember close old accounts that you won’t use anymore.
